The SC SHRAB serves as South Carolina’s central advisory board for planning, reviews grant proposals submitted to the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC) of the National Archives by South Carolina institutions and organizations, and conducts grant programs funded by the NHPRC and the SC General Assembly for historical records within South Carolina. The 2008 annual report contains background information on the SC SHRAB and a description of its recent activities.
