Joe Long Leadership Academy Graduate

Joe Long, the museum's Curator of Education, recently graduated from the Budget and Control Board Leadership Academy.  As part of the class of 2007-2008, Joe worked with representatives from other state agencies on a learning project that made recommendations to improve several areas of agency operations.

“The major purpose is to understand all of the aspects of the Budget and Control Board.” said Sara Pope, the Board’s Director of Training and Development. “This program focuses on developing leadership skills and an understanding of the Board's diverse programs." The museum is an state agency under the Budget and Control Board. Participants are nominated to the Academy and then selected through a screening process.

The museum staff is proud of Joe’s accomplishments through the Leadership Academy and congratulates him on his graduation!
