FOREST INDUSTRY LANDOWNER ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS
Available in South Carolina
A number of forest industries have assistance programs to help landowners to more actively manage their forested property. Most of these programs will provide a landowner with a management plan that guides the landowner towards meeting his long-term goals. In addition to providing management recommendations, some programs assist landowners in implementing the plan by lining up contractors for reforestation work, offering free seedlings, assisting with prescribed burning and timber harvesting.
