How to Apply for
GSA Purchasing Program

The SC Forestry Commission, under the authority of the USDA Forest Service, is initiating a new service to Rural Fire Departments which will allow them to purchase firefighting supplies and equipment directly from GSA at reduced costs. GSA is the purchase and contract agency for all federal agencies and negotiates prices for U.S. government acquisitions.  Allowing Rural Fire Departments access to this program should result in considerable savings.

In order to qualify for this program, a department must be in good standing in regard to other SC Forestry Commission/USDA Forest Service programs.  These include having updated cooperative agreements such as a Memorandum of Understanding; an Equipment Lease Agreement where applicable; and be in compliance if participating in the Federal Excess Property program.

For departments wishing to participate in this program, the Agreement and Request form on this website should both be completed and returned to:
                                                      SC Forestry Commission
Attn: Brad Bramlett, Fire Staff Forester
                                                      PO Box 21707
