Walden Farm, located on Broad River Road in Columbia.
Sealed blended per unit bids will be accepted until 10.00AM, July 17,2017 by the Department Of Corrections for the sale of approximately: 72 acres (~1,329 tons) of primarily pine pulpwood to be clear cut. This area was recently fuel chipped and is very open, with good accessibility. The seller does not guarantee the approximate acres or volumes stated above, and each bidder is encouraged to make his own determination of volumes.

Colonial Dorchester Bid Opening Date/Time: 06/22/2017 3:00 PM
This is a blended sale. Timber estimates within this 70 acre tract include: 3,068 total tons of predominantly pine pulpwood and chip-n-saw along with some hardwood pulpwood. This is an operator selection thinning of the stand to a residual basal area of ~75 square feet of pines per acre. Criteria for removals consist of removing primarily pulpwood and poorly formed pines, and only hardwood pulpwood. Additionally all logging slash and debris, including tree-tops, limbs, butt-cuts, and other debris and by-products must be ground/dirty-chipped/fuel-chipped and removed from the property as part of this blended sale.

This sale area is located on a tract of land known as Colonial Dorchester State Historic Site in the County of Dorchester, and State of South Carolina, from which the Seller is permitted to cut and sell timber.  The Sale area consists of approximately 70 acres of predominantly loblolly pine to be thinned and all associated logging debris ground/dirty-chipped/fuel-chipped and removed from the property

Givhans Ferry State Park Bid Opening Date/Time:   06/22/2017  3:00 PM

This sale area is located on a tract of land known as Givhans Ferry State Park in the County of
Dorchester, and State of South Carolina, from which the Seller is permitted to cut and sell timber.  The Sale area consists of approximately 710 acres of mixed longleaf and loblolly pine to be thinned and all associated logging debris ground/dirty-chipped/fuel-chipped and removed from the property. 

This is a blended sale. Timber estimates within this 470 acre tract include: 20,763 total tons of predominantly pine chip-n-saw and sawtimber along with some hardwood pulpwood. This is an operator selection thinning of the stand to a residual basal area of ~70 square feet of pines per acre. Additionally all logging slash and debris, including tree-tops, limbs, butt-cuts, and other debris and by-products must be ground/dirty-chipped/fuel-chipped and removed from the property as part of this blended sale.
