NEW OFFICER ASSIGNED TO STATE FOREST
(Columbia, SC) -- A new officer is now patrolling on Sand Hills State Forest. Officer Matthew Crow assumed law enforcement duties on the 46,000 acre forest last week.
An eight-year law enforcement veteran, Crow joined the Forestry Commission in October. He had previously served with the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office.
Crow will work a flexible schedule, providing an after-hours law enforcement presence on the forest. In addition to enforcing State Forest regulations, he will provide an added measure of assistance and security to forest users.
