FLORENCE FORESTRY OFFICER GRADUATES FROM POLICE ACADEMY
(Columbia, SC) -- A Florence County officer has just completed training at the SC Criminal Justice Academy. Forestry Commission officer Anthony Eaddy graduated last week from the grueling nine-week basic law enforcement course.
Eaddy is the Forestry Commission’s firefighting supervisor for Florence and Dillon counties. He now adds forest law enforcement to his fire protection duties.
While at the Academy, Officer Eaddy received practical instruction in firearms, pursuit driving, defensive tactics, and physical fitness. Academic training included criminal law, search and seizure, and arrest procedures.
Eaddy is one of nearly 40 forest law enforcement officers statewide. For more information on the Forestry Commission’s law enforcement program, citizens may call 803-896-8820.
