South Carolina Forestry Commission News Release |
(Columbia, SC) -Wee Tee State Forest will reopen to public use on Saturday, June 25. Forestry Commission officials said access to the main boat landing has improved significantly since the forest was closed on June 15.
Officials closed the Williamsburg County forest when heavy rainfall created hazardous conditions on road surfaces already disturbed by construction work.
Wee Tee, South Carolina’s newest state forest, was acquired in April 2003. The property is open to fishing, canoeing, and hiking each Wednesday and Saturday.
