FORESTRY COMMISSION EMPLOYEE BRANCHES OUT WITH NEW CERTIFICATION

Frances Waite

(Columbia,SC)–The South Carolina Forestry Commission is proud to announce that its Coastal Region Urban Forester, Frances Waite, has completed the CERTIFIED ARBORIST examination of the International Society of Arboriculture.

Aren’t all foresters also arborists?  Not at all.  This is advanced training that Ms. Waite will put to good use as a Forestry Commission employee.  Being a CERTIFIED ARBORIST means Waite is trained to assist homeowners, county & municipal governments, volunteer & educational groups, developers and others in the following areas:

As Coastal Region Urban Forester, Waite serves thirteen counties.  She can be reached through your local SCFC office, emailed at fmwaite@bellsouth.net, or through www.trees.sc.gov.
