RIDGEWAY MAN ARRESTED FOR MULTIPLE COUNTS OF TIMBER FRAUD

Kendall Robertson

(Columbia, SC) Law enforcement agents with the Forestry Commission have arrested a man who owes thousands of dollars to SC landowners.  Kendall Robertson removed valuable timber from the land of four victims in Richland, Fairfield and Kershaw counties.

Under South Carolina Law, Robertson has 45 days to pay landowners their share of the revenue from timber sales.  Multiple attempts by the victims to obtain payment from Robertson after that time period elapsed failed.  Timber values for these sales reach well above $10,000.00.

Robertson was arrested and released on bond.  He is scheduled to appear in court on January 30th for the Kershaw County charges and on February 13th for the Fairfield County charges.  A Richland County court date has not been set.
