Mission

The mission of RPS is to provide, promote, support and strengthen the lives of individuals living with severe and persistent mental illnesses.  The program is housed at Carolina Place.

About RPS

RPS is designed for those individuals 18 and over who have severe, persistent mental illness. It is structured to provide individualized and coordinated assistance to those who may benefit from intensive rehabilitation services.  It also helps build client's skills through curriculum-based, psycho-educational and cognitive-behavioral interventions. These interventions break down the program objectives into simple, easy to understand components. The goal is to increase the skills needed to develop successful relationships, live independently, find employment and pursue educational goals.  Services are oriented toward recovery, competency and empowerment of the individuals we serve.

Individuals who receive RPS services can also include family members in his/her treatment.  This can increase comfort level and help build trust and stronger working alliances between staff and clients.  Services are tailored to each client based on their level of functioning.  Our goal is to assist individuals with symptom management and help them to return to an independent lifestyle as a productive member of the community.
