Calcote Named Director of Berkeley Community Mental Health Center May 23, 2001 - The SC Department of Mental Health and the Berkeley Community Mental Health Center Board of Directors named Deborah T. Calcote executive director of the Berkeley Community Mental Health Center. Calcote, who has been serving as interim director since January 2001, assumed the position May 17. Calcote earned a master's degree in psychology from the University of West Florida and a bachelor of science degree from the College of Charleston. She has been employed with the Department of Mental Health since 1981. The South Carolina Department of Mental Health has served the mental health needs of South Carolina citizens since 1821. Its 6,000 employees and 9,500 volunteers offer services from 17 community mental health centers and seven inpatient hospitals statewide. Office of Communications |
