Long Named Deputy of Administrative Services for State Department of Mental Health

Columbia, S.C., June 12, 2001... Kenneth D'Vant Long has been named deputy director of Administrative Services for the S.C. Department of Mental Health, effective June 12.
In his role as deputy director of Administrative Services, he will be responsible for the Divisions of Financial Services, Human Resources, Support Services, and Nutritional Services.
Long was executive director of the S.C. Reorganization Commission from 1992 until 1998, and most recently served as director of Budget and Program Analysis, Office of the Governor.
He received his bachelor's degree in 1982 from the University of South Carolina and his master's degree in 1988 from the University of South Carolina.
The South Carolina Department of Mental Health has served the mental health needs of South Carolina citizens since 1821. Its 5,800 employees and 9,500 volunteers offer services from 17 community mental health centers and seven inpatient hospitals statewide.
