          Commodities/Services DJJ Purchases

          The SC Department of Juvenile Justice purchases an array of commodities utilized in operations, which support the state's juvenile justice facilities.  Commodities can include food, fertilizer, plants, office equipment and supplies, office furniture, travel services, vehicle repair services, uniforms and other clothing items, grounds maintenance services, building supplies, printing services, security equipment, pharmaceutical supplies, dental equipment and supplies, educational equipment and supplies, and admission kits.

          How to Get Started


          Individuals or businesses wishing to do business with the Department of Juvenile Justice need to provide to the Purchasing Department the following information: A written narrative, company profile or business literature fully describing the product or services being offered to the Department; with names and company titles of the individual (2) who will be following-up on the account, telephone and FAX numbers; references of accounts that are currently being supported by your company.

          For the purpose of establishing a vendor record, vendors are required to furnish a Federal Employee Identification Number (FEIN) number or social security number.  This information shall be submitted on a W9 Form, which can be retrieved from the Internal Revenue Service's Available Forms Page.

          Vendor information submission should be sent to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice, Purchasing Department, P.O. Box 21069, Columbia, SC 29221-1069, or may be faxed to (803) 896-5655.
