GRIT (Growning Resources for Information Technology) Training Information

Local employers in the insurance and health care IT departments will hire nearly 2,200 new and replacement IT workers over the next four years. Midlands Technical College will train select students exclusively for the three highest-demand occupations among the insurance and health care industries: programmer analysts, computer network support specialists, and network and data communications analysts.

ASSIST to WORK Program Information

Accessible Support Services and Instruction for Sustainable Transition program is a comprehensive and customizable education and support services program that will prepare participants for the highly competitive and advanced global workforce. The objective of the ASSIST program is to deliver quality technological education and career training to South Carolina workers. The program ensures that Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) candidates, dislocated, displaced, unemployed and incumbent workers and veterans are at ease in learning and working around technology enriched environments.
